Jeanette Stock grew up in Toronto and attended Queen's University. She majored in English Language & Literature and completed the Global Development Studies program at Fudan University in Shanghai, China.
While at Queen’s, Jeanette spent two summers in Kenya co-founding a health education initiative that is now running in 15 schools. She also volunteered as a medical first responder, was awarded a Matariki Research Fellowship, managed Prep 101 at Queen’s, and conducted independent research on the experiences of LGB residents of Shanghai. Before joining Venture for Canada, she spent two years scaling a program at a mental health charity from 200 to over 1,000 participants.
In her free time Jeanette can be found listening to archives of her favourite podcasts or studying for food and wine classes she takes at George Brown.
Jeanette is a recipient of the RBC Social Enterprise Venture for Canada Fellowship.
