Catharine MacKeigan

A Toronto native, Catharine is a member of the class of 2016 at St. Francis Xavier University, where she graduated with an Honours B.Sc. in Human Kinetics and a Minor in Health Sciences.

The past four summers, Catharine worked as Assistant Camp Director for a non-profit organization. She developed and led a ten week program designed to build skills and confidence in children and adapted the program to address the needs of children with learning disabilities. Catharine is an Academic All-Canadian, and a member of the President's Circle of Young Alumni. Catharine is an award-winning athlete, who has demonstrated strengths in team-building, motivation and coaching developed through a lifetime love of sports and volunteering. On campus, she co-captained the two time National Champion StFX Varsity Women’s rugby team in her third and fourth year, and completed a research study on head impacts women’s ice hockey which has sparked her interest in the recent technology developments in the health and wellness business sector.

In her free time, Catharine enjoys working out at the gym, spending time with friends, reading and binge watching Criminal Minds.
