Ibrahim (Hima) Merdan originally from Port Said, Egypt, now calls Halifax home. He graduated from Dalhousie University in 2015 with a major in Finance. Hima completed three co-op work terms in Halifax, all revolving around entrepreneurship. He recently worked at a hedge fund administrator on the Corporate Actions team before joining VFC. At Dalhousie, he led Enactus to their first Regional Championship as Co-President, represented almost 18,000 students on the Board of Governors, and helped plan and run numerous student events on campus. Hima was also part of the Dalhousie Commerce Society Executive team that fundraised almost $100,000 for several charities and initiatives. Hima was awarded the Gold D Impact Award for his elite level of involvement and achievement in campus life over the course of his university career. In his free time Hima enjoys trying new restaurants, practicing his Netflix-binging skills, and collecting coins/stamps from his trips around the world.
