Trishala Pillai

Trishala is a third culture millennial of Indian origin who is a member of the class of 2016 at the University of Waterloo, where she majored in Economics and minored in Management and Communications. Over the years, she has garnered international work and volunteer experience across all sectors; from curating a world-class TEDx conference and co-founding a social enterprise in the education technology sector (listed by Communitech as one of Waterloo's Top 25 Female-led companies) to working in Marketing & Management Consulting at reputed multinational companies. While at University, she was the recipient of student union and social innovation awards for her contributions to student life, Waterloo’s vast entrepreneurial ecosystem and building an inclusive local community. She is an individual with many burning passions and quirky hobbies, some of which include (but are most certainly not limited to) playing with her golden labrador, photography, travel, conversation, writing and trying out local food trucks.


Trishala is a recipient of the RBC Social Enterprise Venture for Canada Fellowship.
